D-Best - Birmingham, AL Dejuan Banks, A.K.A. D-Best was born December 1983 in Birmingham, Al. While growing up in Riley/ Wenonah, D-Best began rapping and Formulating beats at the age of 10 under the influence of his uncle, at his start label (Slang Records). D-Best not one to be outdone, began battling at school to prove his ability to older kids and to be respected as a TRUE MC. Continuing his freestyle battles into high school and making waste of his opponents, he simply became known as the best or D-Best. After attending College in another part of the state, D-Best quickly realized that the money wasnt coming fast enough, so he decided to use the one talent that he found it highly unlikely to be beat at by people. During the first year of college D-best was rarely beat at any battle and seldom had to wonder where his extra funds would come from. Upon arriving home with the zeal to record, he entrusted his affairs to a manager he thought he could trust. After multiple bad deals over studio time and shows he separated from his manager and began making beats for other artists as well as appearing on mix-tapes. Recognized by major labels such as Full Surface, Asylum, and Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic, he has been compared to artists such as Chamillonaire, Slim Thug, and C-Murder due to his witty wordplay and punch lines. Working with C-Savage from the group Soufsyde while in college proved to be a plus for D-Best. After trading rhymes while at work he began to record at the Soufsyde studio (Da Outhouze). Amongst recording and promoting the underground mix-tape Unsigned Hustle which sold 5500 copies, he has also recorded and promoted his solo mix-tape Forbidden Flowz which has sold over 9,000 copies in the streets. Now under his own label Slang Records, D-Best has teamed up with Cream Team Music and now being recognized by DJs in Texas, New York, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama amongst other places. He is the definition of a "Complete Artist", He is D-Best!!! Cream Team Music: dbest1207@aol.com
Chican George - Anniston, AL
Born George Yelder III on July 24, 1981, rising rap artist, C.H.I.C.A.N George, is on a purposeful mission to soothe the souls of the sick with music seared by divine inspiration. No stranger to writing, C.H.I.C.A.N. George began scripting screenplays and poetry as a youngster growing up in Montevallo, Alabama. Never one to follow the crowd, he instead chose to watch cartoons and read comic books while other teens he knew smoked and partied with girls. His interest in cartoons and comics eventually inspired his creative mind to write what he calls “animated lyrics.” Originally nicknamed “Chicken George” to be discouraged from pledging a band fraternity at Miles College in Fairfield, Alabama, George persevered in spite of the adversity he faced. As his “can-do” attitude slowly earned him respect from his peers, George successfully crossed over to become a member of the band fraternity, never losing sight of who he was. He soon began penning song lyrics, and changed the first part of his nickname from “Chicken” to “C.H.I.C.A.N.,” meaning “Coming Hard in Confusion and Negativity.” Coming from a positive perspective to express himself, it would be wrong to think of C.H.I.C.A.N. George as lackluster because he doesn’t drink, smoke or do anything considered racy. It is, instead, the simple yet animated lyricism of this passionate artist that aims to reach those who are hurting in a very real and down-to-earth way they can understand. That inspiration stems from a verse he came across while studying: 11When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, "Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and 'sinners'?” Upon reading this, C.H.I.C.A.N. George realized that people were getting the wrong idea of what hip-hop or "conscious rap" was supposed to be geared toward, which is healing “sick” people, or helping people who are lost and hurting. In 2005, he graduated from Miles College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and began sharing his epiphany through rap lyrics. He soon released his first rap project, Mmm Day, and kept it going in 2006 when he released Come and Get It!!! This second project included the hits "Brew'in" and "Step Ur Game Up," which opened up many doors for him to perform at a number of shows and venues around the state. Next came Rubbernecking...The Fixtape in 2007. Staying true to himself and always seeking to learn from industry experts and artists around him, C.H.I.C.A.N. George continues moving forward, having completed recording of his third album, Souper Bowl Sunday, set for a spring 2010 release. He dubs this CD “the CD for champions” due to its mature content and the symbolic nature of his artistic growth as a rapper. The title, Souper Bowl Sunday, plays off the football season’s most anticipated event where the best teams hailing from two divisions go head to head. According to Job 1:9, C.H.I.C.A.N. George believes he has been favored by God to be the best in his division to go up against the best of the world’s division. Similar to the football teams, he has gone through his “season,” overcoming tempting opponents, such as drugs, guns, commercialism, sex and pride, to name a few. Just as he has matured spiritually, so has his rap artistry, allowing C.H.I.C.A.N. George to finally come into his own. No, he is not your typical rap artist and he is very new to the art form compared to most of his experienced colleagues. However, C.H.I.C.A.N. George is unique in such a way that he doesn’t try to be like anyone else, nor give in to the falsehood of writing “tight” lyrics just to make money or call someone out. His heart is set on a more compelling level as he seeks to spoon up the best chicken soup for the soul: a simple, straightforward broth for the average, hurting person to consume in order to gain healing, love and salvation in Christ.

Junebud - Columbia, MO
Born in Memphis, TN April, 14 1989, Bobby Gene Walton J.r a.k.a "JuneBud" was a born leader. Without a father figure in his life , Bobby started making decisions at a young age. "I didn't want to grow up fast, but I was forced to do so". Through the divorce of his parents and the far move from his father to Missouri, June had only one mission... to take care of his family. He was introduced to music when he was 14 from his Auntie Denise Johnson and his Cousin Preston Frazier. " I remember she bought this expensive keyboard that had pre-recorded beats that my family and I would make up songs to". Even though running track and playing football were his stress coolers, June decided to join a music group back in Memphis along with Preston named "Supreme Squad". As he realized that he liked it, but was getting in too much trouble with the streets, June moved back to Missouri to live with his Mother. When he returned home, he found his Brother was still into making beats. "My Bro and I would go to our room and make songs up all the time when we were kids". They teamed up and made their first hits such as "Show Me" and "My Lady". As they found success in music they continued to become a dominating producer and song writing combo. " Can't nothing stop us! We are music brothers ... We were born to do this!" 660-909-1135 jcrstoudermire@aol.com
